2025 Smart-A-Thon Promises Great Fun For A Great Cause

The Mary Pinola/Crescenta Valley Chamber Education Fund is hosting its popular fundraiser, the 33rd annual Smart-A-Thon, on Friday, March 14 from 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital Council Room.

The event includes a special presentation by CVHS ComedySportz: HSL  and, in keeping with the St. Patrick’s Day theme, a visit by “Mr. Lucky and the Shamrocks,” plus a trivia contest and lunch.

For the first time, there is an opportunity to enter a Boggle competition from 11–11:30 a.m.

Non-profit organizations participating in the Smart-A-Thon will be entered into a drawing for two prizes of $500 each sponsored by Chris Waldheim and J’s Maintenance.

Individuals may sign up to participate or a group of four can participate as a team. Tickets are $60 for individuals, $200 for a team.

Proceeds will support the Education Fund which, to date, has distributed over $410,000 to education programs throughout the Crescenta-Cañada Valley.
