It was “food, friends and fun” at American Legion Post 288 on Saturday when the vets hosted their annual St. Patrick’s Day dinner.
The night was filled with Irish music thanks to kids from the Crescenta Valley High School Charismatics acapella group. Though the entire choir could not attend two members, Quinn Kelly and Jocelyn Males, asked fellow Charismatics to join them. They found songs from Ireland, rehearsed and performed for the enthusiastic audience.
Food was served by members of the CVHS JROTC and Prom Plus Club. American Legion members and their wives made certain everything was decorated in the Emerald Isle theme and that everything ran just grand.
Warren Spayth and Chris Jury spent two days preparing corned beef and cabbage to perfection.
The night ended with the veterans of this community showing once again how generous they were with donations to the JROTC.
