Unexpectedly clear, but cold, weather greeted runners of Sunday’s L.A. Marathon who were dreading the possibility of rain as late as Saturday night. Among those taking to the streets of Los Angeles were foothills residents Chris Waldheim and Mary Pinola.
The pair were running in support of the Mary Pinola/CV Chamber of Commerce Educational Endowment Fund and had received donations approaching $5,000 by the time the gun sounded to start the race. The fund provides support for local educational programs and donations are still being accepted.
For information, contact the Chamber office at (818) 248-4957.
