The Oakmont League of Glendale invites ticket holders to step back in time to the roaring 1920s for a night of style, sophistication and heartfelt giving. On Saturday, March 29, the League is hosting its highly-anticipated “A Swanky Speakeasy”event at the Oakmont Country Club. This glamorous evening will raise essential funds to support the League’s scholarship program and empower women through its partnership with the YWCA’s domestic violence program.
Guests will immerse themselves in the spirit of the Prohibition Era with a bourbon tasting, signature 1920s cocktails, and bingo with prizes. Enjoy a live auction filled with one-of-a-kind items and experiences, and make a lasting impact with the Oakmont League’s Raise The Paddle to directly support the YWCA’s life-changing domestic violence program. All of this, paired with a sumptuous dinner and the chance to dress in 1920s attire, promises to make for an unforgettable evening.
A brief, inspiring presentation by the YWCA’s new director will showcase how the Oakmont League’s participation is transforming lives, helping women and families overcome the challenges of domestic violence. Last year, the Oakmont League was honored at the YWCA’s annual Heart and Excellence luncheon for its exceptional volunteer service and contributions, which continue to play a vital role in empowering women and girls in the local community.
