Glendale Arts announced the kick off of I ♥ Glendale Arts, a time for Glendale residents to come together to raise funds to support the arts organization that manages the historic Alex Theatre, Glendale Pops Orchestra and GA website and community box office.
“Ticket sales and other sources of earned income account for only 66% of our operating budget,” stated Jim Wilke, chair of the Glendale Arts board of directors. “In order to continue to preserve and operate the Alex Theatre and cultivate and promote the arts in Glendale, the organization must pursue new ways to generate other sources of income.”
Organizers of the I Glendale Arts campaign hope to raise $75,000 through a combination of on- and off-line donation giving streams.
Details can be found on www.glendalearts.org/iheart on how to make a donation. Also online are testimonials and other information the Glendale Arts.
