The Kiwanis Club of La Cañada announced the return of the Second Annual Golf Ball Drop on Friday, April 11 at Brookside Golf Course (1133 Rosemont Ave. in Pasadena) at 2:30 p.m. The event will raise funds for LCHS athletics, Eaton Fire Relief for those impacted at LCUSD and the Kiwanis Foundation. The event is in conjunction with the LCHS Golf Tournament held earlier that day.
This event will feature a helicopter dropping pre-numbered golf balls onto the fairways of Brookside Golf Course at 2:30 p.m. The goal is simple: get the balls to land in a designated golf hole and win big while raising funds for these worthy causes.
With an expected crowd of enthusiastic participants and spectators, this promises to be a fun-filled afternoon for all ages.
Kiwanis Club of La Cañada President Alice Perez said, “We are delighted to once again take a flying leap into the stratosphere of fundraising for such important causes. With our fire relief campaign underway and our continued support for local youth, this event aims to create a positive and long-lasting impact on the La Cañada community.”
Tickets are $20 for one ball, $70 for four balls, or $200 for 18 balls. Prizes are $1,000 for the first hole-in-one, $250 for the runner-up, and $250 for the farthest from the hole.
Sponsorships are available: $2,500 Dual Event Sponsor (golf ball drop and upcoming pickleball event), $1,000, $500 and $250 levels. The event is open to all; folks don’t need to be present to win. Purchase tickets and sponsorships online at lacanadakiwanis.org; click on the “Fundraisers” category, then select “Golf Ball Drop” or “Golf Ball Drop Sponsorships.”
