On March 29, 2012, [the Korean American Federation of North Los Angeles] had a meeting with local leaders, inviting local public organizations.
Glendale Healthy Kids, a non-profit organization, had a presentation explaining about jobs and helping kids with medical support from volunteer doctors [presented by] chief executive officer Camille Levee. Their site is www.GlendaleHealthyKids.org.
Captain Stokes from the Glendale Police Department explained his job to take care of the area of Glendale. He is trying to hire Korean police officers in the Glendale area. Also Captain Stokes talked about more effectively working with [the] Korean community.
The CV Weekly is one of [the] important [businesses] in La Crescenta and Montrose and around the Foothill area. They are helping [KAFNLA] to make one community [by producing] the weekly newspaper.
Lastly from Youth and Armenian Community Center, Chairman Arick Gevorkian explained the relationship with the Korean leaders, [and also] talked about a Korean Armenian cultural festival. The festival [will be] held on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012 [from] 11 p.m. to 8 p.m. at CV Park.
