The Kiwanis Club of La Cañada-AM presented the Distinguished Community Service Award to Bill Maddigan during the governor’s visit to Division 3 of the California-Nevada-Hawaii District of Kiwanis International.

Maddigan gives over 25 hours a week to the organization Brothers’ Helpers. He weekly purchases and supplies items to local foothill facilities in order that more than 1,200 meals a week can be prepared for those in need. The packaged meals are taken to Our Lady Queen of Angels-La Placita Church on Main Street in Los Angeles. The meals are then distributed to many grateful people.
