The La Cañada Kiwanis Club announced that it will be honoring Donald Voss as this year’s La Cañadan of the Year on May 4. Everyone is welcome and reservations are required.

Voss’ public service activities have included board memberships and chairmanships with two American Red Cross entities, the San Gabriel Valley Chapter and the Consortium of Los Angeles County Chapters, and a trusteeship with the La Cañada Flintridge Educational Foundation Endowment Fund. He was appointed treasurer of the City of La Cañada Flintridge in 2001 and in 2006 was appointed to and later elected to the LCF City Council. Voss served as mayor in 2010-12.

Voss is past recipient of the Roy E. Reynolds Memorial and El Gran Matador awards by the California Contract Cities Association, and the Les Tupper Community Service Award by the La Cañada Flintridge Coordinating Council.

Voss will be honored at a special luncheon provided by the Kiwanis Club on Wednesday, May 4 at 11:30 a.m. at Van de Kamp Hall at Descanso Gardens. Members of the public are invited to attend and join in honoring this outstanding citizen. The cost to attend is $20. Reservations are required. Call (818) 790-9901.
