The Crescenta Valley Fireworks Association is preparing for the 2011 4th of July fireworks show at La Crescenta Elementary School. Donations are being sought to meet the many expenses that have to be considered and paid prior to the event. Less than half of the expenses are paid by ticket sales and it is the association’s goal to keep the show affordable for the families that attend the event.
The association is counting on the community’s support again this year and will be inserting donation envelopes in the Crescenta Valley Weekly. Donations can also be made by logging onto www.cvfireworks.com.
Fundraising Chair Rick Dinger urges the public to consider contributing to this year’s event.
“It is important to note that 100% of donations will be used for the fireworks show,” said Dinger. “There are no other expenses because it is a 100% volunteer organization.”
