Kim Kelly and Kris Kline, owners of the Merle Norman Cosmetic Studio located in Montrose, were recognized for Excellence in Sales at the 80th Annual Merle Norman Cosmetics Convention held recently at J.W. Marriott in Los Angeles. The company’s top-performing studio owners, representing diverse markets from around the world, were applauded by Merle Norman’s chairman of the board and president Jack Nethercutt and over 1500 delegates.
“For 80 years, Merle Norman has been renowned for its high-quality products and locally-owned studios which provide the best customer service in the cosmetics industry,” said Nethercutt. “It’s an honor to officially recognize Kim and Kris, whose commitment to customer satisfaction in integral to our success as a company.”
“We have been Merle Norman Studio owners for over 18 years but each of us has over 35 years of experience. We love our customers and enjoy what we do. We’re so proud to be honored for the success of our studio,” said Kelly and Kline.
Merle Norman Cosmetics and Montrose studio owners have been serving the local community since 1979 when the pair’s mother, Elloise Konrad Huschle, opened her clothing store The Band Box, which incorporated Merle Norman Cosmetics in the product mix. She received her 55-year pin at this convention for her years of service. Sisters Kline and Kelly have kept the family tradition by carrying on the Merle Norman Cosmetics portion of the business since 1992.
The studio in Montrose offers the full range of Merle Norman cosmetics and skin care plus a selection of services including “update” makeovers, special occasion make up application and customized skin care “how-tos.”
Located at 2341 Honolulu Ave. in Montrose, the studio is open Monday-Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
