Training That Provides Career Skills
Airstream is Marine-owned and over 1,000 veterans have taken advantage of this accelerated training program (30 days) since 2010 at Airstream training facility in Tehachapi, California. The class provides certifications required for employment consideration, safe access and rescue climber, electrical and electrical metering safety, torque and tension, CPR and OSHA 10. Post 9/11 GI Bill accepted. Four out of five graduates start new careers in several industries. Some grants and scholarships are available for those who qualify.
Basic requirements: Jobs for wind and cellular are all over the nation (traveling and permanent) while the oil and gas jobs are in Bakersfield, California, Texas, Oklahoma, North Dakota and Pennsylvania. Mechanical and electrical experience a plus.
Starting pay is between $16 and $24 an hour, most have plenty of overtime and per diem.
