McGroarty Arts Center Annual Ceramics Exhibition and Sale kicks off on Saturday, June 9 with an opening reception. The reception features live music, refreshment buffet and an incomparable view from the Center’s terrace. This year an estimated 100 unique ceramic pieces will be on exhibit in the Main Gallery Exhibition. In the Upper Gallery Exhibition, a wide variety of ceramic designs by McGroarty’s students will be on display.
The exhibition is not only an opportunity to view these unique ceramic pieces, but also a chance to purchase one-of-a-kind ceramic artworks from both professionals and students. A portion of all proceeds benefit arts programs at the Center.
This year’s juror and featured artist is Melody Cooper, a professor of art and current department chair of Art and Architecture at Pierce College.
The free opening reception begins at 6 p.m. The exhibit is open to the public Monday – Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., June 11 – 29; closed Sundays.
The exhibit is made possible through the efforts of many dedicated volunteers, including a team who transform the Center’s historic building into a professional exhibition space.
