The team umpire (or parliamentarian) will be Monica Sierra. Committee chairs installed include Joan Campbell, Harriett Rector, Mary Lane, Linda Gregg, Gladys Kabateck, Anna Brewer, Ellyn Semler, Val Moorhead, Marilyn Olson, Shirley Johnstone, Fran Buchanan and Marion Graydon Greene.

Las Candelas is a Glendale based organization of 40 women whose mission is to give volunteer service to emotionally challenged children and to promote better understanding of mental health. Monthly programs are brought to the students residing at the Hillsides Education Center in Pasadena and the Hathaway-Sycamores home in Altadena. Last month the students of HEC were treated to a day-long field trip to Kidspace Children’s Museum in Pasadena. Coming up are year-end parties and picnics at both facilities for students and staff. Las Candelas also provides support to Didi Hirsch, the YWCA and Glendale Healthy Kids for children’s mental health services.
