On a recent afternoon, Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts held its annual Gifts & Grants Awards reception at the 50th Pasadena Showcase House of Design. Cheri Graham, Gifts & Grants chair, welcomed guests to the reception where PSHA awarded $685,000 to 62 non-profit organizations and community schools. Over 130 guests were in attendance to accept their awards or support those who received one.

“The success of our 2013 Showcase resulted in $685,000 available for Gifts & Grants,” said Graham. “These gifts and grants were presented to community schools, orchestras, choral groups and other non-profit organizations. The awarded groups provide an array of programs, including scholarships, music education musical theater, opera and chorus productions, music therapy and the underwriting of concerts.”

Entertainment was provided by Nathan Wong, a senior at The Colburn School, who will be a freshman at Princeton next year. Wong plays viola, and was a former Pasadena Showcase House instrumental competition winner.
