Women’s Council Enjoys Fashionable Afternoon

Working the catwalk for the annual fashion show are Suzonne Slaughter, Sue Wilder, Ali Woodward, Annsley Strong, Kate Kaneko, Betty Hurn, Ruth McNevin and Jill Haines.

The Women’s Council of Verdugo Hills Hospital hosted its annual fashion show at Verdugo Hills Hospital on May 20. There were about 80 attendees and fashions were provided by Holiday Hats and Gowns, Montrose, and table favors by Merle Norman Montrose.

The theme of the event was “On the Red Carpet” and the room was decorated to portray the theme with a red carpet on which the models could walk. All the models were Women’s Council members. The Women’s Council chair is Jill Haines and Sue Wilder is president. The show’s commentator was Lynne Raggio. The show was deemed a success with proceeds going toward equipment for VHH.

The show raised around $2,000.
