Armenian-American Chamber of Commerce, Greater Los Angeles Chapter to Honor 14 Exceptional Women

The Armenian-American Chamber of Commerce announced the honorees for its Fifth Annual Women in Business Excellence Luncheon. This annual event recognizes Armenian American women who have proved to be exceptional in their respective categories of nomination. The event serves to celebrate the accomplishments of Armenian American women who are successful in their professions and leaders within their communities. Awards will be presented at the 2011 Women in Business Excellence Luncheon on Oct. 1 at the Hilton Glendale.

The following exemplary women will be honored by the AACC for their successes in business and in their commitment to community service.

2011 President’s Awards:

Lifetime Achievement Award – Honorable Hranush Hakobyan, Minister of the Diaspora Republic of Armenia; Friend of Armenia Award – Kim Tomsen, wife of former ambassador to Armenia; Friend of the Armenian Community Award – DebAnn Orfolea.

2011 Women in Business Excellence Honorees:

Woman in Business – Dalida Keuroghlian, MK Designers, Inc; Corporate Woman – Anna Magzanyan, Vice President Marketing Events, Los Angeles Times; Woman in Law – Eileen Keusseyan, Law Offices of Eileen Keusseyan; Woman in Science – Dr. Serineh Melidonian, Glendale Adventist Medical Center; Woman in Education – Lora Kuyumjian, AGBU Manoukian High School-Pasadena; Woman in Government Services – Rita Hadjimanoukian, Representative, Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich; Woman in Journalism – Armine Amiryan, U.S. Armenian Television; Woman in Entertainment – Maria Cozette; Woman in Art – Vera Arutyunyan; Women in Service – Alice Chakerian, Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU); Vicky Marashlian – Armenian Relief Society (ARS).

The Armenian American Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1999. The organization serves the Armenian American business community and encourages greater ties and collaboration with Armenia and its business community.
