Veterans of Crescenta Valley, your community thanks you for the sacrifice and service you gave to our country. Your service has played a major role in giving us the freedom so many of us takes for granted today.
In gratitude for your service, your local American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) posts, in concert with our national organizations, are here to serve you. We are available to help you file for benefits claims, get answers for your health care, help you with your GI Bill benefits, assist you in job research, assist you in correcting your military records or discharge status, provide support for homeless veterans and much more.
The American Legion Post 288 and the VFW Post 1614 are both located at 4011 La Crescenta Ave. in La Crescenta. You may reach us by email crescenta.vets@gmail.com or call (818) 541-1336. Knowledgeable officers from either post are available at your convenience.
American Legion Post 288 has its monthly meeting on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. The VFW Post 1614 has its monthly meeting on the third Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.; both meetings are held at 4011 La Crescenta Ave. Join us to share your experience and meet your military comrades. Each of our meeting ceremonies is memorable. We always pay tribute to our military personnel who are Missing in Action/Prisoners of War (MIA/POW). Families are welcome and membership is not a requirement.
