Hospital officials announced that the Glendale Adventist Medical Center’s campus preschool and childcare center has earned a five-year renewal of its accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Only 8% of preschool and early childhood education programs nationwide are accredited by NAEYC.
To earn accreditation, the center staff completed an extensive self-evaluation that measured programs and services against more than 400 NAEYC standards and criteria. NAEYC also conducted a rigorous on-site evaluation.
“We are especially proud of Glendale Adventist’s continued commitment in raising the bar for quality child care in the communities we serve,” said Paul Ramey, Children’s Center director. “Our established and caring staff meet all state licensing qualifications, and their academic background and years of classroom experience set us apart from other centers in many outstanding ways.”
Glendale Adventist also operates a community children’s center in Montrose, which also is accredited by NAEYC.
