The Campbell Center (formerly GAR) governing board has appointed Lt. Lola Abrahamian, a member of the Glendale Police Dept., as president of The Campbell Center Foundation board of directors. Abrahamian, a longtime member of the governing board, will succeed Stephen Ropfogel who completed his two-year term as foundation president.
“I am pleased with the decision of the governing board to appoint Lt. Abrahamian,” said Eric Hamilton, president of The Campbell Center board. “I know that she will bring a set of leadership skills to her role as she partners with her board members in growing the Foundation’s success.”
A lifelong Glendale resident, Abrahamian began her professional career in reproductive biology before transitioning to law enforcement in 2000. During her years with GPD, she rose through the ranks from police officer to her current position of lieutenant overseeing North Area command.
“I am very honored to be appointed as president of The Campbell Center Foundation Board and am proud to serve in that role in support of The Campbell Center mission,” Abrahamian said. “The Campbell Center has been a very important part of my and my GPD colleagues’ lives for the past 23 years and I am humbled by the appointment.”
Founded as a nonprofit, The Campbell Center Foundation (TCCF) is the fundraising arm of The Campbell Center (TCC). Since its founding, the Foundation has attracted many key Glendale business and community representatives to serve on its board, engaging them in raising funds and awareness in the service of the clients the agency helps.
