Reception Held for New Adventist Health – Glendale President

More than 100 hospital employees, physicians and Glendale community leaders gathered to extend a warm welcome to Alice Issai on July 11. Issai, MBA, took the reins as new president of Adventist Health Glendale.

Adventist Health is a faith-based, nonprofit integrated health system serving more than 75 communities in California, Oregon and Hawaii. Issai takes on the largest medical center in the system.

“We are excited to have Alice return to Adventist Health Glendale where she started her professional career as a financial analyst nearly four decades ago,” said Andrew Jahn, president of the Adventist Health Southern California Region. “Since then she has made her mark in the industry as a distinguished healthcare leader in Southern California with extensive experience leading large quaternary and tertiary health organizations.”

Issai  comes to Adventist Health Glendale from Keck Medicine of USC where for the last several years she has served as chief operating officer for Keck Hospital of USC and USC Norris Cancer Hospital. During her tenure, she was responsible for developing high-performing teams, driving a culture of accountability, expanding access to excellent and affordable care in Los Angeles, and building trust, partnership and collaboration with physicians and department chairs. Prior to Keck Medicine, Issai held several chief executive-level positions in finance, business strategy and operations at world-class institutions like UC Irvine Health, Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles and West Los Angeles, and City of Hope National Medical Center.
