Andrew Frost Beckner of La Cañada Flintridge, a University of Mississippi student, was listed on the chancellor’s honor roll for the spring 2012 semester. For the honor, a grade-point average of from 3.75 through 4.0 is required of full-time students carrying at least 12 semester hours.

Catherine Karayan of Glendale has begun a two-year clerkship with the United States Tax Court in Washington, DC. In May, Catherine earned her LL.M. in Taxation from New York University where she edited “The Hotchpot” and chaired the Tax LL.M. Class Gift Committee. An active member of the California State Bar, Catherine graduated from USC School of Law in 2011 where she was a judicial extern under Hon. Zaven Sinanian, founded and was the president of the USC Art Law Society, and served as content editor for the “Southern California Interdisciplinary Law Journal.”

Seung-Yun Song and Jooyoung Lee of La Cañada earned academic honors at Purdue University for the spring 2012 semester.
To earn honors, students must have had at least a 3.5 semester or cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Annelise Thompson of La Cañada Flintridge was one of 314 students named to Denison University’s 2012 spring semester dean’s list by Provost Bradley Bateman. Students who achieve dean’s list status have maintained a grade point average of 3.7 or better (out of 4.0) for the semester. Thompson is a member of the Denison class of 2013.

Lindsey Soderstrom, a resident of La Crescenta, made the Whittier College spring 2012 dean’s list. Undergraduate students are awarded dean’s list honors if he or she earns a 3.70 grade point average (GPA) while completing a full-time course load (12 units) in the fall and spring terms.

Drew University student Hallie Isquith of La Crescenta has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2012 semester. In order to qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a grade point average of 3.4 or above, which is equivalent to a B+ or better.
Founded in 1867, Drew is a selective, independent, coeducational university with a total enrollment of more than 2,300 students in its College of Liberal Arts, Caspersen School of Graduate Studies and Theological School.

Heather Beadles of La Cañada Flintridge received a Master of Bus Administration degree with a major in Master of Business Administration during spring commencement ceremonies at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in May. Bachelor’s degrees were awarded to 713 students while 110 students received master’s degrees.
