The Assistance League of Glendale thrift shop, Thrift Alley, is having a Christmas in August sale from Thursday, Aug. 18 through Saturday, Aug. 20. The hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Its large meeting room will be filled with holiday items galore featuring everything from decorations to craft supplies. Gift items include jewelry, toys, holiday clothing, books and much more.

The ALG chapter house is located at 314 E. Harvard St. in Glendale. There is free parking and it is wheelchair accessible.
