Sunland-Tujunga-Shadow Hills Rotary Club Helps Local Medical Facilities

Blanca Nava and Joy Hipolito, RN received needed masks at North Valley.

The Sunland-Tujunga-Shadow Hills Rotary Club has reached out to local care-giving facilities to help keep medical staffers and their patients a little bit safer.

During this pandemic, masks that are so critical in protecting patients and staff are often in short supply. Working to help fill gaps in the supply chain, the Rotary Club delivered 430 face shields to local medical facilities. Working in partnership with the Sunland-Tujunga Neighborhood Council, which provided the Rotary Club with a $480 Neighborhood Purposes Grant, the much-needed masks were distributed to Oakpark Healthcare Center, High Valley Lodge, New Vista Nursing and Rehab Center and North Valley Nursing Center.
