HealWithin International Announces Organizational Launch

HealWithin International (HWI), a nonprofit health organization based out of Glendale, announced its launch slated for Monday, Sept. 10 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the historic Alex Theater. Admission is by invitation only. RSVP at www.healwithin-intl.org.

The organization is devoted to helping children, families and individuals find inner healing and educating children who have lost their mothers. Through integrative and holistic methods, HWI provides alternative therapies and offers guidance, mentorship, experience and products from trained experts to enhance the mind, body and spirit.

“We are excited to establish a place of safety and serenity in our community, a place where individuals from all walks of life can come to be heard, peel away layers of hurt and feel accepted for who they are,” said HWI founder and chair of the board of directors Liza Boubari.

HealWithin International’s programs include creative expressions such as art, sound, poetry writing and mindfulness meditation, as well as personal growth sessions. They also enrich self-esteem and positive body image, as these are especially prevalent among their targeted age group. One targeted program works with children between the ages of 8 and 17 who have lost their mothers.

At HealWithin International, Boubari and her team of volunteers help motherless children who are undergoing the trauma of loss and death. The programs are for all children, regardless of language, race/ethnicity or religion.

In addition HWI offers a safe and professional space for the healing process to occur, as it’s critical to promoting overall wellness.

The organization envisions expanding into private classes on cycles of domestic abuse/violence, safety and self-defense resources, and much more.

Alex Theatre is located at 216 N. Brand Blvd. in Glendale.
