The Junior League of Pasadena Inc. (JLP) announced that Charlotte Miles has been named president of the 92-year-old women’s volunteer organization, which has more than 500 active and sustaining members in the San Gabriel Valley area.
Members of the JLP are looking forward to her leadership as they continue in to focus on the support and development of women. Members of the JLP volunteer hundreds of hours each year to support this issue area and the women in our community.
Miles is beginning her seventh active year of membership with Association of Junior Leagues International, spending the first three years at the Junior League of Champaign-Urbana. She has served on the JLP board of directors as Operations director and, most currently, as president-elect. She currently works as the executive assistant at the Pasadena Humane Society and enjoys her time volunteering, running and cooking.
“The Junior League is very near and dear to my heart and I look forward to being able to serve it and the wonderful women it is comprised of,” said Miles. “The rich history that specifically the Pasadena Junior League has is outstanding and I hope to only build on that.”
JLP Past-President Amy Onderdonk said, “I am thrilled to see what this year holds for the JLP with Charlotte as the new president. She is a dedicated leader who will no doubt lead the League with passion in continuing its exciting work in the community.”
