Jane Barnett, former chairman of the Republican Party – Los Angeles County, was honored by California Republican state chairman Tom Del Beccaro at a convention held in Burbank on Aug. 12.

Barnett was recognized for her dedication to the Boy Scouts and to the Republication party. Her years of service date back to the days of former member of the United States House of Representatives – California Jim Rogan and include her own run for state assembly.

Joining her in Burbank were her husband and her seven children and eight grandchildren.

Barnett is currently battling a rare form of cancer but vowed to be at headquarters as long as she possibly can.
