Deals abound in Thrift Alley

Bargains abound at the annual Thrift Alley clearance sale being held Aug. 27. Proceeds benefit Assistance League of Glendale philanthropies.

The Assistance League of Glendale once a year clears out its Thrift Alley store with a 50% off sale on everything. That sale is tomorrow, Friday, Aug. 27 at 314 E. Harvard in Glendale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nothing in the store is held back.
The Thrift Alley is staffed entirely by volunteers with items donated from the community. Members collect donations from estate sales and the store is full of housewares, linens, antiques, collectibles in addition to clothes, shoes, books and electronics. Everything in the store will be offered for half price for one day with blouses, slacks and jeans going for less than $2.
All profits go to Glendale philanthropies such as Operation School Bell, which clothes students in need, and Authors & Illustrators.      For more information on joining the Assistance League of Glendale or to contact Thrift Alley call (818) 246- 2294.
