The La Crescenta Woman’s Club Evening Section recently donated $400 to Saddles for Soldiers, a therapeutic program for returning veterans with PTSD or substance abuse problems. The program utilizes equine therapy along with conventional therapy.

The program is based at Shadow Hills Riding Club in Shadow Hills.

Along with the veterans program, the club administers a riding program for physically or mentally challenged children and adults, and an equine assisted therapy program for women and teens.

For information on the programs, visit shadowhillsridingclub.org.  Volunteer opportunities are available with monthly volunteer orientations and training.
