Veterans Corner August 2017

New Veterans’ Website

By Andy GERO

Kevin Bularz, a native of La Crescenta, always had a desire to give back to his community. In doing so, he created new websites for American Legion Post 288 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 1614 here in La Crescenta.

Kevin is the son of Ronald Bularz, commander of the VFW Post 1614. Kevin is a lifer: he attended Village Christian Schools, received his AA degree from Glendale College and earned his BS degree from Cal State Northridge. With a fascination for computers and iPhone technology, he started his own business specializing in computers, resolving PC issues and software updates.

The purpose of these websites is to inform veterans on issues related to veterans’ benefits and events that occur in our community. Websites will be updated whenever new information is received.

The VFW Post 1614 and American Legion Post 288 sponsor the two websites. Both Posts reside at 4011 La Crescenta Ave., La Crescenta. For information, call (818) 541-1336 and leave a message on our service phone.  Calls will be returned within 24 hours.

Should you have a need to visit the Veterans Affairs Office on Wilshire Boulevard in West Los Angeles, be informed that our Posts have a veteran’s service officer available to assist you. Call the CV Weekly at (818) 248-2740, or attend an American Legion Post meeting on the first Wednesday of each month or a VFW meeting on the third Wednesday of each month. Both meetings start at 7:30 p.m.

New websites: American Legion Post 288: www.vetspost288.com and VFW Post 1614: www.vetspost1614.com.

Thank you for your service to our country.
