Megan Siepler of La Cañada was among the students who earned a place on the University of Dubuque spring semester 2016 academic dean’s list.

To be named to the dean’s list, a student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale for that semester.

The University of Dubuque, founded in 1852, is a private, coeducational, professional University with a focus in the liberal arts.

Chad J. Rahtz of Tujunga has been selected for inclusion on the dean’s list for academic achievement during the spring 2016 semester at St. Lawrence University.

Rahtz is a member of the Class of 2016 and is majoring in economics. He attended St. Francis High School.

To be eligible for the dean’s list, a student must have completed at least four courses and have an academic average of 3.6 based on a 4.0 scale for the semester.

Founded in 1856, St. Lawrence University is a private, independent liberal arts institution of about 2,500 students located in Canton, New York.

Galileo Nunez, a Tujunga resident and a student at Pratt Institute, was among more than 1,000 students who made the dean’s list in the spring 2016 semester. Nunez also earned a degree in architecture during the 127th commencement ceremony.

Colgate University Class of 2018 member Jae Eun Lee, a molecular biology major from La Crescenta, has earned the spring dean’s award for academic excellence.

Colgate University in Hamilton, New York is a highly selective residential liberal arts institution that offers 54 majors to a diverse student body of approximately 2,900 undergraduate students, and supports 25 Division I athletic teams.

Angela Baik of Montrose has been named to the Whitworth University provost’s honor roll for spring semester 2016.

She qualified for the academic honor society by maintaining a grade-point average of at least 3.75 during the semester.

Located in Spokane, Washington, Whitworth is a private, liberal arts university affiliated with the Presbyterian Church. The university, which has an enrollment of nearly 3,000 students, offers more than 100 undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

Katharine Crowder of La Crescenta graduated from Binghamton University during the 2015-2016 academic year with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.

Caylie Denham of Tujunga is a member of the 2016 Hofstra University volleyball team. Hofstra, which finished 2015 with a record of 21-11, was picked to finish first in the preseason Colonial Athletic Association Coaches Poll released recently. Hofstra opened the 2016 campaign when it headed to the Black Knights Invitational at Army West Point.

Hofstra, located in Hempstead, New York, is an NCAA Division I institution and a member of the Colonial Athletic Association and the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association.
