The Children’s Orthopedic Hospital Guild raises funds so children can receive the care they desperately need. The largest fundraiser the Guild holds is its annual Authors Luncheon. This year the luncheon is being held at the Angeles National Golf Club in Sunland on Oct. 25. Featured will be author Frans Vischer who wrote “Fuddles” about his big cat, Jennie Nash, author of “The Threadbare Heart” about mothers and daughters and their Santa Barbara fire experience and Diane Johnson of “Ways to Hangtown” about her ancestors coming on wagon train from Illinois to the California Gold rush.

For tickets, contact chairwoman Joan Cleven at (818) 249-4603 or treasurer Joanne Ploszaj at (818) 248-2876.
