Emily Rawlings of Shadow Hills has enrolled as a freshman at George Fox University of Newberg, Ore., this fall.

Rawlings is one of 604 first-time freshmen joining the university. It is the biggest first-year class in the history of the institution and marks a 30% increase in freshman enrollment from the fall of 2012, when 423 enrolled. All told, the university welcomes 777 first-year undergraduates, which encompasses freshmen, transfers, readmitted students and international students, after enrolling 581 first-year undergraduates last fall. The incoming class represents 18 states and four countries.

Cornell University Summer College invites talented high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors to spend three or six weeks on the Cornell campus experiencing what it’s like to live and learn at a Ivy League university.
