Kiwanis Club of La Cañada will be celebrating its 16th annual Wine & Gourmet Food Tasting event, along with a premium wine auction, at Memorial Park on Sunday, Sept. 30. This annual event is presented by the Kiwanis Club of La Cañada, the La Cañada Flintridge Chamber of Commerce and Rosso Wine Shop.

Wine enthusiasts will enjoy wine from many different regions, tasting everything from rosé to Rieslings, to name a few. Over 20 gourmet restaurants and caterers from the area offer fare for the event, offering samples of many of their prized favorite dishes.

Advance tickets are on sale for $50, $60 at the gate. When guests arrive they will be greeted with a wine glass and appetizer tray.

Attendees can also participate in the Kiwanis Club premium wine silent auction that is bigger and better this year. Many boutique and hard-to-find wines will be featured in over 30 baskets this year.

This event is coordinated by many of the members of the La Cañada Kiwanis; without their leadership it would not be the most successful fundraiser for the club.

“It’s our biggest event, which allows us to continue to help kids throughout the year and that is what we are all about,” said current club President Chuck Terhune.
