Members of Boy Scout Troop 319 stand on the summit of Mt. Whitney on Aug. 8 with their favorite community newspaper. The summit is the highest point in the contiguous United States at 14,495 feet high. Boy Scouts who reached the summit were Brett Tyler, Forrest Hunt and Zach Alvarado. Adults were Mr. Tyler, Mr. Hunt, Mr. Alvarado, and Mr. Nazari.
