Noon Kiwanis President Tom Passanisi, preparing for the transition of leadership after his one year as president of the club, invited members of his board of directors to a special board meeting on Sept. 5. Board members and committee chairpersons came together to share in a special lasagna dinner prior to Passanisi’s last board meeting as president. The event was held in the St. John XIII Room of the Parish Center at St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church in La Cañada. Also attending were St. Bede pastor Monsignor Antonio Cacciapuoti who blessed the food and the attendees, and associate pastor Father Greg Dongklore.

Passanisi will step down and Fred Schooley will be installed as president on Sept. 24 at a special installation dinner taking place at 6 p.m. at Oakmont Country Club.
