Third Annual Texas Hold’em Great Success for the Campbell Center (TCC)

The third time proved to, indeed, be a charm. On the evening of Aug. 26 close to 50 poker enthusiasts gathered to be part of The Third Annual Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament benefiting The Campbell Center. In an atmosphere of camaraderie, philanthropy, fun and games, poker pros and amateurs alike gave it their all to help make the event a great fundraising success, surpassing the results of the previous two Tournaments.

Adding to the atmosphere, several TCC clients welcomed the guests, mingled, handed out chips helped serve dinner at the buffet table and even called the start of the game.

“Having the clients at the event was a great plus for all our guests,” said Muhannad Malki, event co-chair and member of The Campbell Center Foundation (TCCF).

“Offering our clients opportunities to integrate and interact with our supporters is the quintessential element of our mission,” added Kim Guard, also a member of the TCCF board and event co-chair. Other event committee members included TCCF board members Jodi Deranja of John Aaroe Group; Jack Darakjian, executive director of Modern Support Services, LLC; and Robert Schacht, CEO of Westfield Hydraulics.

Event sponsors included Future Auto, Al and Gladys Landegger, Oxnard Collision Center, Robert Schacht, Jack Darakjian, Jodi Deranja, Kim Guard of Express Employment Professionals, TCCF board member Lola Abrahamian, TCCF board president Todd Stokes, Ron and Lee Levy, TCC board immediate past president Wendy Jacoby and Innovative Dimmers.

While all players gave it their all, the three final winners were Al Landegger, Esq., who took third place; Foundation board member Jamie Gonzalez who placed in second place; Foundation board president Todd Stokes who took the first place prize.
