Crescenta Valley Weekly celebrated its first year anniversary last Thursday with family, friends and supporters.

St. Luke’s of the Mountains graciously offered to have the event in their courtyard.  Guests dined on an assortment of cuisine provided by Frank’s Famous and topped the meal off with an ice cream dessert donated by Paradis ice cream in Montrose. Classic Venice Pastry created a cake that depicted articles from the newspaper over the past 12 months.

The party was not only a time to celebrate the year of coverage that included fire and floods but also along the way the discovery of how powerful the Crescenta Valley community spirit can be.
