It was a hot Sunday but that didn’t stop true wine lovers from spending the afternoon sipping wine and enjoying a wide variety of foods at the Eighth Annual La Cañada Wine and Gourmet Food Tasting.

The event was held at Memorial Park and wines from around the world were sampled, as was local cuisine.

“We had a pretty good turn out [despite] the high [temperatures],” said Linda Magarian, Kiwanis member. “All the money raised goes to the children [programs] we support.”

Since 1948 the La Cañada Kiwanis Club has supported organizations that include the La Cañada Tournament of Roses Association, the annual Memorial Day and Fiesta Days activities as well as schools.
