Crescenta Valley Weekly celebrated its fourth anniversary and the results of its readers’ poll, The Finest, with a lavish party held on Friday night at Deukmejian Wilderness Park in La Crescenta.

The party was attended by over 150 people representing winners in more than 125 categories. Categories included restaurants, services and civic organizations. Over 13,000 votes were cast by CVW readers during the four-week voting period held during the summer. Deukmejian Park was voted as The Finest Sunset View.

Guests enjoyed food provided by some of the winning restaurants, music by the Crescenta Valley High School jazz band, flowers from Crescenta Valley Flower Mart and decorations by Bonners Equipment Rentals. Stuart Byles of the Stonebarn Conservancy, the organization that is overseeing the preservation of the historic Le Mesnager Barn at Deukmejian Park, spoke of the history of the site and the conservancy’s efforts in revitalizing the grapevines in front of the barn.
