LCWC Hosts HOBY Recipient Meline Yervandyan

Glendale High School student Meline Yervandyan was the guest speaker at the September program for the La Crescenta Woman’s Club business meeting. LCWC had sponsored Yervandyan in this year’s HOBY (Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership) program. As the guest speaker she shared her HOBY experience.

Each spring, 10,000 high school sophomores from across the country join one of HOBY’s 70 state leadership seminars to hone their leadership talents and apply them to become effective, ethical leaders in their home, school, workplace and community.

The La Crescenta Woman’s Club meets the second Wednesday of the month at the clubhouse at 4004 La Crescenta Ave. in La Crescenta. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. and the meeting begins at 10 a.m. followed by lunch, socializing and an occasional program. 

The Evening Section meeting is the third Monday of the month at the Clubhouse. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the meeting beginning at 7 p.m.
