The La Cañada Thursday Club kicked off its season with a barbecue on the patio at the clubhouse. Members and guests were treated to delicious food, fellowship and a chance to celebrate the club’s 100th birthday.

The club has a full calendar. Sheri Morton is looking forward to serving the club as its hostess for the year with Barbara Robison. Becky Lankey is anticipating the upcoming debutante ball when her daughter will be officially presented to society. Nancy Thurston plans to attend the special lectures, book reviews and museum presentation the club will be sponsoring in the upcoming year. President Gale Casewell is ready to helm the many philanthropic and service projects the club is planning.

And Mark Higley can’t wait to make a killing at the wild and raucous Casino Night next month.
