Thursday Club members were recently welcomed back to start their new year at a Western BBQ Hoedown. The clubhouse was transformed into a western saloon with tables decorated with black gingham checks with touches of red, bandanna centerpieces with bouquets of sunflowers, and bales of hay.
The dinner was catered by Mr. Ardi’s Catering and included a buffet of green salad, barbecue brisket, almond chicken, baked beans, mac and cheese, roasted asparagus, dinner rolls and assorted cookies for dessert. Tending the bar were Chris and Betty Rekdahl of Chris Rekdahl Designs. Members enjoyed line-dancing after dinner with music and dance instruction provided by Joann Merrick.
The party, which was attended by more than 120 people, was organized by Chairman Alma Tycer, President Sharon Coombs and Board Members Pricilla Brandt, Nancy Antonoplis, Gracella Gibbs, Yvonne Marchosky, Jari Faulker, Yvonne Elleri, Jane Workman, Alice Ryan, Pam Heiberg, Donna Jones, Sheri Morton, Linda Pebsworth, Cindi-McIntosh-Behr and Karen Millman, Patricia Ryan and Brenda Pieroni.
