LCJWC Seeks New Members

LCJWC Club President Marikay Cuthill (left), Executive Vice President Tracey Nelson and Immediate Past President Brenda Gant are ready to meet prospective new club members.

The La Cañada Junior Women’s Club (LCJWC) is looking for new members with a passion for fun, philanthropy and fundraising. The Club recently hosted two events for prospective members. Guests who wanted to learn more about Juniors attended the Club’s wine and cheese event and coffee-klatch, and mingled with current members over refreshments. The gatherings were held at the home of Georgina Mueller of La Cañada.

For more than 40 years, LCJWC has provided assistance to local women and children in need through fundraisers, rummage sales, auctions and more. The Club is looking forward to an active year with its philanthropic efforts benefitting the Ronald McDonald House of Pasadena and Five Acres of Altadena. Juniors host an annual fundraiser party to support these two charities, and organize other events throughout the year, including preparing lunches every month to help people in need at Union Station in Pasadena.

For more information about the Club’s next Provisional Meet and Greet, contact Mueller, co-chair of provisional membership, at (858) 354-0214, or via email georginaandtony@aol.com, or co-chair Laura Plourde at (818) 292-3383, or via email ldpiller@gmail.com. The Club plans to host another get-together for prospective members. The application deadline to become a provisional member is Oct. 18. More information can be found at http://www.lcjwc.org.
