On Sunday, Oct. 2 Pasadena Child Development Associates hosted its annual Harvest Moon Home Tour and Art Auction at the historic Blacker House in Pasadena. Homeowners Harvey and Ellen Knell opened their home for an exclusive tour for Harvest Moon ticketholders.

Tours led by docents dressed in early 1900s costumes were followed by a cocktail reception and silent auction of fine art. The evening continued with a program highlighting PCDA’s program and services for children with special needs and a gourmet dinner under the harvest moon.

Jovana Lara, weekend news anchor for Channel 7 Eyewitness News, served as emcee and recounted her interactions with PCDA staff in covering stories about autism.

Guests enjoyed an evening of families, friends and supporters coming together to celebrate, reflect and support the organization’s mission.

Kimberly Lee, mother of children who have received PCDA services, gave an eloquent presentation about her children and family, their challenges and achievements gained with the help of PCDA.

Proceeds from the Harvest Moon benefit will go toward developing and improving developmental programs for children, birth through 18 years of age.
