The Glendale Chapter of National Charity League, Inc. (NCL), the nation’s premier mother-daughter volunteer organization, announced its annual membership drive. NCL is accepting applications from women with daughters currently in grades six through eight. The Glendale Chapter is comprised of nearly 300 members who reside in the Glendale, La Cañada, La Crescenta, Pasadena, Burbank and surrounding areas of Los Angeles. Applications for membership are only accepted during the annual membership drive, which is from Oct. 1 – Jan. 6 each year.
Glendale Chapter mother-daughter teams volunteered just under 6,860 philanthropy hours in the 2021-22 year for 20 philanthropic organizations in the community, including the YWCA of Glendale, Twelve Oaks Senior Living, Door of Hope, and the Red Cross, decorated Tournament of Roses floats and assisted with Southern California Special Olympics on Game Days.
“We are excited for the opportunity to welcome new mothers and daughters into our chapter as we continue to create lifelong philanthropists who graciously serve the community,” said Mia Husfeld, Glendale Chapter president.
