The Community Center of La Cañada Flintridge has announced free programs for older adults and seniors.
On Oct. 21 from 11 a.m. – noon, older adults and seniors are invited to test their knowledge on trivia from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s at the Treats & Trivia Social. Coffee and pastries will be served and there will be a chance to win prizes and socialize with fellow community members.
“Check” out chess on Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. starting Oct. 24. Participants will have fun, stay sharp and learn new strategies each week. This event is great for beginners or those wanting to learn new moves.
The new Speaker Series for Seniors kicks off on Nov. 1 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. with the topic “Arthritis and Self-Management.” Learn about the different types of arthritis and evidence-based nonpharmaceutical interventions to help improve a person’s overall quality of life.
A new Table Tennis Club has been formed! Pingpong stimulates the brain and promotes quick thinking while improving hand-eye coordination. The Table Tennis Club begins on Nov. 1 from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. in the Main Room.
