Verdugo Hills Hospital announced that Sue Wilder, chair of the VHH Foundation’s Women’s Council and an in-service volunteer at VHH for 12 years, was recently honored by Business Life magazine as one of its “2011 Women Achievers” during a luncheon held at the Glendale Hilton.

Wilder retired from the Walt Disney World Co. in 1994 after 24 years with Disney, primarily in the Human Resources area. One of her career highlights was being on the opening team for the Disneyland Paris resort.

As chair of the Women’s Council, Wilder plans to grow the Council’s membership and raise funds for the hospital through the Council’s annual fundraising gala, The Poinsettia Ball, which is set for Dec. 3 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles, and other fundraising efforts.
