The La Cañada Thursday Club invites club members and the community to its Prosecco, Prosciutto, and Pasta Casino Night on Friday, Oct. 28 at the Clubhouse at 4440 Woodleigh Lane. The fun begins at 6:30 p.m.

“Italiano style is the theme,” stated Event Chair Sheri Morton. “The evening’s guests will be treated to authentic Italian food, sparkling champagne, gaming, a silent auction for early holiday shopping, raffle and musical serenade.”

To commemorate the Thursday Club’s 100th anniversary in 2012, the club enlarged its patio area and created a centennial garden. Newly planted crepe myrtles and bougainvillea now grace the planters around the expanded courtyard.

“[It’s a] perfect time to experience the newly-built patio and lighted garden while trying your hand at the gaming tables,” added Morton. “If you are a novice, South Bay Casino Company dealers will gladly guide you through the strategies of Black Jack, Craps and Roulette.” Winnings from the gaming tables can be used toward raffle prizes. Net proceeds from Prosecco, Prosciutto, and Pasta will benefit the centennial garden.

The evening’s Italian menu is presented by Gail Connell of Gourmet A Go Go. Dress for the occasion is Italian chic or dressy casual.
