The Glendale Chapter of National Charity League, Inc. recently held its annual community rummage sale, Sellebration, at the Pacific Community Center in Glendale. A long-standing event for the Chapter, Sellebration serves the community with well-priced offerings of apparel, toys and home goods and this year was chaired by Glendale residents Aurezue Enright, Erika Rodriguez and Christine Cassin. Proceeds from the rummage sale are used by the Chapter to further its philanthropic mission.
Over 200 mothers and daughters spent 1,445 hours planning, preparing, setting up and working at Sellebration.
“Sellebration is one of the highlights of the Chapter year for our members,” said Chapter President Pati Patao. “It demonstrates our mission to foster mother-daughter relationships as we all work together to support the community and our philanthropy partners, which include Union Station, Ascencia, YWCA Glendale, Door of Hope and many more. It brings all of our members together for fun and service.”
The Chapter also recently announced that it has opened its membership drive and is accepting applications for the Classes of 2023, 2022 and 2021 from the surrounding La Cañada, La Crescenta and Glendale communities. Those interested can visit the chapter’s website at nclglendale.org and complete the online interest form on the Get Involved page.
